Introduction to Light Painting
Light Painting is nothing new as a technique and has been practiced by many photographers both commercial and hobbyist, and even artists like Pablo Picasso collaborated with a photographer (Gjon Mili 1949) on a light painting portrait of himself.

Essentially it involves lighting your subject(s) with any light sources that allow you to literally paint your picture. As simple as it may sound, a successful effort requires careful planning as you are practically racing against time to apply your light/paints.

In this workshop, you will be introduced to the basic concept and technique of light painting. Some useful tips and recommendations will be given to get you started during the theory session.

You will be guided along as you experiment with the technique during the 3 hours practical session.

To make the workshop more challenging, the practical session will involve a live model rather than inanimate object.

This workshop broaden one's creative on photography.

Sharing Sessions

These are usually range from 2-3hrs all the way to a half-day sessions. Sharing sessions are conducted on a regular basis, in fact we hope to be able to conduct them as often as we can. Sharing sessions ultimate aim is to share the experience and pass on the knowledge. We invite various individual speakers to share their experiences and expertise in the field of photography with the rest. On certain occasion, we screen some educational materials that we happen to chance upon. We hope thru these sharing sessions, we can contribute our part to benefit the photographic community.

We welcome individuals who can volunteer and want to share their experience. Should you feel you want to play your part in this community, give us a ring, email. We love to hear from you.

These sharing workshops are usually free, or at a very nominal fee for light refreshments.
